Kent Relay #5 – Canterbury (final race)

Fantastic evening in Canterbury for the conclusion of the Inter Club Summer Relays Season

Well done to each and every runner who attended the relays this year and made it such a fun team experience. With special thanks to those who stepped up last minute to cover and make up teams to allow everyone to run where possible. 

And thank you to all those who also worked behind the scenes to make the relay series possible and to all the volunteers who made our Minnis fixture such a great success.

The team aspect really brings out the best in people and everyone tries their best for each other. How else would we want to spend a Tuesday evening! 

The Canterbury fixture was a well organised, tough course with grass sections, underpasses, a hairpin turn and a gradual hill on the way back. There was much at stake, with points to be gained and trophies still to be decided. 

TRAC walked away with 5 Trophies from some very challenging A team age categories.

It was great to celebrate with everyone with a picnic afterwards. And ‘enjoy’ some enthusiastic Happy Birthdays singing for Julie and Chris. 

Looking forward to doing it all again next year!
